Set within a grade ‘C’ Listed Church, the retention of the internal mouldings, cast iron work and tiered gallery was viewed as essential to retain and acknowledge the former use of the building.
The club was split into two levels. The ground floor incorporating two main bars, seating, DJ booth and dance floor, with the first floor hosting lounge and cocktail bar facilities.
Two cast iron spiral stairs were enclosed with cylinder forms and illuminated to create objects to identify access to upper levels.
The two main bars and cocktail bar are a mix of curving glass and projecting dynamic canopy tucked neatly into the corner of the former hall.
Externally, a steel canopy was sensitively pinned to the façade to shelter the main entrance and promote the venue to customers.
