Commanding a prominent location on the corner of Whitehall Street and Whitehall Crescent Blackadders Property Shop has been a familiar presence within the Estate Agent Community for over 25 years.

The corner unit had fallen into disrepair and required careful restoration particularly internally. A brick circular stair was removed and replaced with a steel and glass spiral stair to open up the floor space on the ground and gallery level and allow much needed light into the new main reception point.

The upper gallery level was reconstructed and expanded to provide a larger flexible space to host a variety of functions. A new concealed partition can be opened to create two semi private consultancy spaces or closed to combine the entire space for a hospitality event or larger meeting area.

The existing internal cornicing and rose features were retained and restored. All new wall installations were kept clear of the original features and deliberately form relationships of old and new to respectively express both. All office use, storage and IT functions were carefully integrated and concealed within the new walls, reception and meeting points.

The external windows, cornice and entrance area were overhauled and restored to assimilate sensitively with the new vibrant interior.

Despite the downturn in residential conveyancing the Property Shop has experienced an upturn in activity and views their business promotion positively for the future.
